Logic, Luck and Love features local storytellers Kevin Boggs, Dustin Fisher, Molly Kelly and Jennifer Moore as themselves, ruminating on that thing we call love. Dustin Fisher has relationships down to a science, calculating that the compatibility odds are one in 640. Jennifer Moore delivers her story of falling out of love like a poet, describing how she told her then-husband she had to leave “this mediocre marriage” before wryly realizing “that’s probably not something you should say aloud to someone.” Molly Kelly tells us how, as a lesbian who usually approached women in bars, someone different found her and Kevin Boggs gives insight into the darker side of his fleeting relationships with men.
Audience members are asked to select a sticker, either Team Luck or Team Logic, at the beginning of the performance. As I left the theatre, I crumpled mine and reconsidered my choice.
Running time: 75 minutes.
