‘Rising Star’ is a new column on MD Theatre Guide that will shine the spotlight on a young performance artist in the MD/DC/Northern VA theatre and entertainment world.
Whether he or she is an actor, singer, dancer, musician, or stage crew, the MD Theatre Guide is excited to present a Rising Star to selected up-in-coming performers each month.
Once selected by the editor and publisher, one up-in-coming young performance artist will be featured in each ‘Rising Star’ column to include a personalized interview, profile, and photos.
There is a lot of young talent out there and we, at the MD Theatre Guide want to recognize and award excellence of our local youth performers.
If you wish to nominate a young performance artist for the ‘Rising Star’ column, please email April Forrer at april4er [at] gmail.com. Include as much information as possible in the email like their accomplishments, resume, awards, etc.
Please note that we are anticipating a large volume of nominations each month and that only a few will be selected. Even if the nominee is not chosen, we encourage the young performance artist to continue to reach for the stars.
