It won’t be easy to catch-up with Ella Green! Ella is a local 14-year-old with dreams of becoming a professional actor/singer when she grows up. Judging from the long list of credits under her belt, she’s already grown up quite a bit. She first took to the stage when she was 9 years old and hasn’t slowed down yet!
Ella made her Broadway debut last summer at the Hudson Theatre in New York City! She joined a notable cast famous singers and theatre performers for the American Cancer Society’s 100th Birthday celebration tribute to the late composer and conductor Marvin Hamlisch.
Ella shined with her rendition of Mr. Hamlisch’s song, “The Music In My Mind,” leaving the audience certain they had not seen the last of her.
Perhaps you have seen Ella perform in one of her many local theatre shows, like Beauty and the Beast as the Wardrobe, Alice in Wonderland as the Tall Alice, Legally Blonde as Kate, The Little Mermaid as Ariel, Shrek the Musical as the Fairy Godmother and as one of the 3 Blind Mice, or Geppetto and Son as Stromboli. Ella is also a member of Children’s Theater of Annapolis’s performing troupe “Second Stage.”
MD Theatre Guide’s owner and publisher Mark Beachy summed up Ella’s talent when he said, “Even at a young age, Ella is confident on stage and sings with great poise.”
Although Ella hasn’t won any specific awards for her singing – yet, I can definitely see many in her future.
