Live Arts Maryland Gala 2014 – Saturday January 25, 2014 @ 6:30PM at the Loews Annapolis Hotel Annapolis, MD
Ever wanted to conduct the Annapolis Chorale? Be in the cast of a Broadway show? Have your own special luncheon with Ernie? Have members of the Chorale or Erik Apland perform at your private party? Then annual gala is for you!
Only at this event will you get the chance to do all of the above during our live auction hosted by J. Ernest Green. Start your evening in the Atrium with an open bar while you see which silent auction items tempt you. At 7, we’ll move into the ballroom for lots of live music from the soloists you love to hear. Did we mention dancing, too? Erik Apland and his trio will be on hand to provide music throughout the evening.
Our soloists will join you at your table for a four-course gourmet dinner prepared by the Loews’ award-winning chefs. The menu for dinner is prepared from the best locally grown and produced products. What meal is complete without wine? Every table will enjoy a bottle provided by Live Arts Maryland.
We have an amazing array of live and silent auction items for you to bid on, among them a Wintergreen vacation home for a week, a Ravens Game Day package with 50-yard-line seats and a tailgate party, a private Scotch tasting, beautiful jewelry from Zachary’s in Annapolis and so much more.
J. Ernest Green is your MC and host for the first party of the new year so you know it will be fun. Throughout the evening, you can dance, chat, bid and support Live Arts Maryland while you’re having fun!
We’re thrilled to announce that Bernard Dotson and Valerie Lemon, who wowed everyone during our September celebration of Marvin Hamlisch, will be joining us for this year’s gala. For this one special night, you’ll be transported to the best of New York City’s cabaret scene. These two multi-talented performers will wow you again!
Just added to our talent lineup – pianist John McDaniel! One of the hottest and in-demand musicians in New York, John was the bandleader on The Rosie O’Donnell Show, where he won two Emmy Awards. He has also won a Grammy Award and a Tony Award for his work. Happily, he is a good friend of our special guests, Valerie Lemon and Bernard Dotson, and he’s coming here to perform for you!
