Robert Levoy
US Navy Disabled Veteran, Robert Levoy gave to our country and now I am calling out to all of our readers to consider giving back by supporting his hobby of collecting Playbills, posters, autographs, and other theatre and music-related items.
Robert Levoy says that he “was on active duty as a hospital corpsman attached to the marines during Vietnam. I stayed in the navy until 1985 . I first required surgery for an old back injury in 1992 and then in 1999. I have been considered disabled since 1995 and then the VA took a bit longer. My condition continued to worsen. I now suffer from degenerative disc disease, sciatica and depression.”
Volunteers are helping to create his new man cave which will include a 16 foot wall and 16 foot shelves to display items which will show his appreciation of theatre and music.
“I can’t do the things I used to enjoy. Now I enjoy collecting autographed material and listening to vinyl records (His favorite band is the Beatles) that people donate and movies. There are so many people on Broadway I am dying to add to my wall. I know there a lot of plays out there with no big names but I don’t care, I consider them big time also!”
What a nice surprise it will be for him to receive a signed (or unsigned) playbill or theatre poster in the mail! Donate whatever item you can to help decorate his dream man cave!
