Port Tobacco Players heads west for a three-weekend run of the Tony Award-winning play “Art,” written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton. This special performance is the first in a new partnership between PTP and the Indian Head Center for the Arts. “Art” will be performed at the Indian Head Black Box Fridays and Saturdays Nov. 6-7, 13-14 and 20-21 at 8 p.m.
In the wickedly funny and emotionally frank “Art,” a 15-year friendship is put to the test when the purchase of an expensive painting brings philosophical, personal and artistic differences to the foreground. The fast-paced one-act play is a piercing exploration of the singular aspects of modern life, and features veteran PTP members Brian Donohue, Larry Daniele and Mike Mortensen.
Join us for opening night on Friday, Nov. 6, and stay for a free post-show wine and dessert reception with the cast of “Art.”
Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors/students/military, and may be purchased at www.ptplayers.com or by calling 301-932-6819.
This production will take place at the Black Box Theater at the Indian Head Center for the Arts, 4185 Indian Head Hwy., Indian Head, MD 20640.
