The Damascus Theatre Company presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, weekends, from November 2-11 at the Carl Freeman Auditorium, Historic Stage, 2001 Olney-Sandy Spring Road, Olney, Maryland.
More than thirty local actors, both adults and children, will perform the much loved and visually stunning musical fairytale, adapted from the Disney animated movie and influenced by the more recent live action film, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton. The Damascus Theatre Company’s performances are directed by Lee Rosenthal.
Performances are scheduled for November 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10 at 8:00 PM, and November 3, 4, and 11 at 2:00 PM. Audience members will have an opportunity to meet Belle and the rest of the characters after each matinee. General admission tickets are available online via damascustheatre.org, and at the door. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for senior citizens and students age 13 through grade 12, and $10 for children under the age of 13. A group rate of $2 off per ticket is available for 10 or more tickets. Call 301-253-6210 to arrange for the group rates.
