Iron Crow Theatre has announced that April Forrer, former Managing Director of Baltimore Shakespeare Factory, will join Iron Crow Theatre as Managing Director, reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
The theatre also announced River Hansen, who served previously as Company Coordinator and most recently as Interim Managing Director, has been appointed the theatre’s first General Manager, reporting to both the Managing and Artistic Directors.
“April has extensive experience working with growing theatre companies and nonproﬁt organizations, including serving as the Director of Operations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County,” said Dr. Frank Golom, President of Iron Crow Theatre’s Board of Directors. “The Board is ecstatic that she has chosen to share her expertise and her talents with us. I look forward to everyone at Iron Crow Theatre, from volunteer staﬀ to artists to members of the community, continuing to grow and learn under her leadership.”

Additionally, several new and returning volunteers have been appointed to the theatre’s Community Advisory Board, chaired by Mr. Ron Legler, President of the Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center. This includes the appointment of Iron Crow Theatre founding member Paul Wissman, who recently oversaw Center Stage Theatre’s $25 million dollar capital campaign, and marketing and social media expert, Justin Franklin. Iron Crow Theatre’s Community Advisory Board also includes Chris Pfingsten, Producing Director of the historic Baltimore Theatre Project, and Zachary Michel, President of the Charm City Fringe Festival, among others.
Danielle Harrow, one of Iron Crow Theatre’s longest serving volunteers and previously the theatre’s Director of Education, will now serve as the company’s ﬁrst Grants Manager. In addition, Jonas Parker Grey is the latest local performer joining Iron Crow Theatre’s Resident Artist Program.
