The Peabody Institute’s 2018-19 concert season continues with Peabody Opera Theatre’s production of Il Trittico, by Giacomo Puccini. Il Tabarro, Suor Angelica, and Gianni Schicchi will be presented Thursday, March 7, at 7:30 pm and Sunday, March 10, at 4:00 pm. Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi will also be presented on Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9, both at 7:30 pm. All performances will be in Miriam A. Friedberg Concert Hall at the Peabody Institute. Il Trittico consists of three one-act operas that depict a turning point in a character’s life. Il Tabarro and Suor Angelica are both tragedies, of jealous love and poignant grief, while Gianni Schicchi and its comedic antics show a lighter side to life. Under the baton of Joseph Young and with stage direction by Garnett Bruce, Il Trittico is sure to inspire. Tickets are required but free: – Reserve online here.
