Songs from Our Hearts: An Evening of Musical Memories will be performed May 3-4 at The Lyceum and May 10-11 at the Oswald Durant Center. Curtain is 8:00 p.m. Directed by WATCH award recipient Kevin Sockwell and produced by WATCH Award recipient Mary Beth Smith-Toomey, this cabaret is a sparkling evening of musical entertainment where our cast performs their favorite tunes from Broadway and a variety of popular songbooks, and share how those songs have inspired them.
Songs from Our Hearts features a rotating cast of outstanding performers: Michelle Bruno, Amy Conley, Rich Follett, Jennifer Georgia, Daniel Kingsley, Malinda Ellerman Markland, Alden Michels, Kevin Sockwell, Darin Stringer, Matt Williams, and Stephen Yednock.
Because of our rotating cast, no two performances will be exactly the same!
“We are so excited to present this evening of song and memory,” says Smith-Toomey, who is also the president of the Port City Playhouse board. “This cabaret is the fundraiser to help Port City launch its return to active production in Alexandria this fall for the 2019-2020 season.”
Songs from Our Hearts will be performed at two locations in Alexandria: The Lyceum, 201 S Washington St., on Friday & Saturday, May 3 & 4, and the Oswald Durant Arts Center, 1605 Cameron St., on Friday & Saturday, May 10 & 11. All shows are at 8pm.
Tickets are $25 general admission and include refreshments. To purchase tickets, go to our website. Some tickets will also be available for purchase at the door.
