Inspired by the illustrations of Edward Gorey, Victorian nightmares, dangerous croquet, gothic romance, afternoon tea and perils of the deep, Cabaret Macabre features music played live with deadly flare and Happenstance Theater’s witty, visual theatrical collage. Cabaret Macabre was nominated for three Helen Hayes Awards in 2014 for Outstanding Costume Design, Resident Production (Sabrina Mandell), Outstanding Movement, Resident Play, and The Charles MacArthur Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical.

SteamedPunk! Ventures is due to drop their biggest app yet and energy billows through the office, but it’s not all positive. There’s a kink in the pipes and a few more amongst the staff. Fissures threaten to grow into cracks as the pressure builds. Suppressed jealousies and conflicts threaten to explode. Will the team be able to keep the airship afloat or will the boiler burst before they can safely land?
Guests will enjoy a fun evening with a buffet of sweet treats. A cash bar will be available for those 21 & older. Photo ID required for alcohol sales. Dress up in Victorian/Steampunk attire for a chance to win a prize.

In this operatic retelling of a classic fairy tale, Little Red Riding Hood recounts the events of the day she went to visit her granny. Who knew the series of unfortunate events that would happen that day, including her granny kissing a wolf, Forest Ranger Dudley losing his pants, and Little Red getting in trouble? The performance is a great introduction to opera for children of all ages.
