
Rapid Lemon Productions opens its 2020 season with “Give Me Moonlight” by Maryland playwright Ariel Mitchell, appearing at Motor House February 7 – 16, 2020. It’s is the fictionalized true story of Bessie and Albert Johnson, a couple in early 1900s Chicago who seem to have everything. But when Bessie brings home a surprise visitor, the sorrows that have festered under the surface come seeping through the façades she and her husband have created. Based on the actual history of Scotty’s Castle, this surreal journey explores why two people would risk what they barely have to build a castle for a con artist in the middle of Death Valley.
Noah Silas directs this world premiere. Performances are at Motor House, 120 W. North Ave., Baltimore, MD 21201. Showtimes are 8:00pm February 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, and 15. 5:00pm February 9 and 16.
