CCTA is proud to present brand new programming
designed for middle school aged students. This non-audition based program is
designed to take children to the next step in their performing arts journey by
giving them the skills that will prepare them for future productions.
This will be a full scale, traditionally cast show!

Junior Intensive Presents: “Annie, Jr.” with equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Senior Intensive Camp
Formally known as Junior Professional Theatre, this newly minted program serves as CCTA’s highest caliber performing arts experience for students. It aims to develop, nurture, and inspire each participant’s capabilities in every aspect of theatre to make them a well-rounded performer.
Senior Intensive Presents: “Bye Bye Birdie.” A loving send-up of the 1950s, small-town America, teenagers, and rock & roll, Bye Bye Birdie remains as fresh and vibrant as ever. Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses All-American girl Kim MacAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Featuring a tuneful high-energy score, plenty of great parts for teens, and a hilarious script, Birdie continues to thrill audiences around the world.

Audition Information
This year in the wake of COVID-19, we have decided all initial auditions will be done via video submission. In order to audition for this show, you must send us a video of you singing 16 bars of a ballad and 16 bars of an uptempo piece. All submissions should be sent to auditions@cctarts.org by April 15th.

Meet the Directors:
BRYNN WILLIAMS
Brynn Williams is a hyperactive, Maryland-raised, self-proclaimed theatre
geek with a passion for storytelling. Most recently seen touring the country as
gum-chewing Violet Beaureguarde in the first national tour Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Brynn boasts over 20
years of professional performing experience and an extensive resume. An
entertainer from birth, Brynn started performing professionally at 6-years-old,
and by twelve made her Broadway debut. She currently has a total of 6 Broadway
shows under her belt. Her favorites include—but are not limited to— SpongeBob SquarePants(Sandy/Pearl understudy), Bye Bye Birdie (Ursula Merkle), and 13 The Musical (Cassie) where she can be heard
throughout the cast album and featured in the song “Brand New You.”
Over the years she has had the honor of sharing stages with the likes of Paul
McCartney, Carole King, John Stamos, Audra McDonald, Paul Newman, Bernadette
Peters, Jonathan Groff, Yolanda Adams, Alec Baldwin, Kermit the Frog, and Big
Bird to name a few! In addition to an impressive performance resume Brynn also
boasts over 10 years of experience in the educational field teaching, coaching,
and directing performers of all ages. When not onstage, Brynn is passionate about
taking her first-hand experience in this ever evolving industry and passing it
along to the next generation of rising storytellers.
GERALD JORDAN
Gerald Jordan is a Maryland native who attended both Hofstra University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He has been an integral part of CCTA since 2013. Originally, he came to us as an instructor and now works as our Programs and Education Director. He works especially hard to build our Baltimore Outreach Program, and even performs as the lead in our Baltimore Residency Program as Jackie Robinson in Most Valuable Player: The Jackie Robinson Story. From his own personal experience, he knows how much of a difference the arts can make in someone’s life, and he works diligently to provide the best experience for everyone within our programs.
