By now, we have all experienced some form of disruption to our daily
lives. I hope this email finds you healthy and having experienced as
little disruption as possible. As both a theatre and a community, our greatest assets are each other— artist, designer, volunteer, and, of course, patron and supporter.
FOR THIS REASON, WE HAVE CHOSEN TO PRIORITIZE EVERYONE’S SAFETY AND CANCEL OUR FINAL PRODUCTION OF THE SEASON, SCOTT ELMEGREEN AND DREWFORNAROLA’S “STRAIGHT.”
In the coming days, we will reach out to all those who purchased
tickets to assist in receiving credit for next season, donating your
ticket purchase, or with information on how to receive a full
refund.
I know that this is a difficult time for many, especially for those
within the arts community who continue to lose paid creative
opportunities.
THAT IS WHY WE WILL PAY EVERY ARTIST AND EVERY
PRODUCTION TEAM MEMBER CONTRACTED FOR “STRAIGHT”- IN FULL -DESPITE THE PRODUCTION’S UNFORTUNATE CANCELLATION.
We are all in this together, and, together I know we will continue to
find creative ways to share in the celebration of the renegade and
the unorthodox in all of us. I look forward to our return next season,
as we continue our work in elevating queer artists, queer stories, and
queer theatre. I truly cannot wait to welcome you all back to the theatre.
