Ed Simmons, Jr. Articles 9

Ed Simmons, Jr. earned his MFA in Theatre at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1988 in Richmond, Virginia under the tutelage of Professor Kenneth Campbell. There in Richmond his first play 'A Visitor from Vietnam' was produced to considerable praise from National Public Radio. He has most recently labored to produce a screenplay 'Spirits of the Southern Moon.' A poet and journalist as well, he represented Washington D.C. at the National Slam of 1992 in San Francisco. He is pleased that one of his poems "The Woodsman's Cathedral" will soon be read by Alexandria, Virginia poet Peter Lattu at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church, also in Alexandria, at their Sunday evening Celtic Service.
