Over the past half century (!), Jennifer has acted, directed, costumed, designed sets, posters, and programs, and generally theatrically meddled on several continents. Despite being a very nice person offstage, she has made a specialty of playing battle axes—no, make that “mature, empowered women”—including Lady Bracknell in The "Importance of Being Earnest" (twice, three times? She’s lost count); Mama Rose in "Gypsy" and the Wicked Stepmother in "Cinderella for MP;" Dolly in "Hello, Dolly!"; Carlotta in "Follies" in Geneva, Switzerland; and Golde in "Fiddler on the Roof" and Mrs. Higgins in "My Fair Lady" in London. Jennifer also indulges her lust for power by directing shows including "You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown" and "Follies." She directed, costumed, and designed and painted the set for RLT’s "She Stoops to Conquer," (for which she won the WATCH Award for Outstanding Set Painting). Not having learned her lesson, she did all that again on "Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley" for MP. She has also costumed numerous other productions, including "The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley" for the Strand Theatre in Baltimore, and "Pride@Prejudice" (RLT) for which she won the Eastern States Theater Association’s “Outstanding Achievement in Costuming” award. In her spare time, Jennifer works as a speechwriter and editor, and tutors learning-challenged kids for standardized tests and application essays.
