The Tred Avon Players announce auditions for their February 2018 production of the comedy Almost Maine by John Cariani.
Director Fiona Foster is seeking to cast 4-8 women and 4-8 men of all ages over 25 years old. Auditions are from the script and will be held at the Oxford Community Center on November 13 & 15th at 7 pm, and Sunday November 19th at 12 noon.

Almost Maine relates nine short tales in the small Maine town about various working & romantic relationships. On a cold, clear moonless night in the middle of winter, all is not quite what it seems in the remote, mythical town of Almost, Maine. The residents find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. “It’s a series of nine amiably absurdist vignettes about love, with a touch of good-natured magic realism…witty, romantic, unsentimental. A beautifully structured play with nifty surprise endings (most but not all of them happy).”

New York Daily News critic, Joe Dziemianowicz writes: “The script packs wit, earns its laughs and, like love, surprises you.” Almost Maine opens Thursday, February 15th and runs until Sunday, February 25th.
