    Seeking experienced Youth Choreographer to work at Performing Arts Camps located at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, University of Maryland and/or Bowie State University. Both camp locations are musical theatre intensives for kids ages 8 to 16. The ideal candidate has a desire to work with kids of all experiences, backgrounds, and talents. Candidates who apply will be considered for both locations based on availability.
    Camp Dates:
    -Bowie State University runs June 17 through July 12
    -Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center runs July 15 through August 9
    Both camps operate from 9 am to 4:30 pm. (excluding the July 4th holiday.)
    All directors/instructors must also be available for trainings on evenings TBD the week of June 10, as well as two additional planning dates to be scheduled depending on staff availability.
    Choreographer’s Duties:
    – Plan and teach final choreographer for musical productions at each camp session
    – Develop and execute engaging dance curriculum and lessons throughout the rehearsal process
    -Communicate with parents/guardians and M-NCPPC supervisors to ensure a safe, secure and customer friendly environment, promoting cooperation and coordinating with all personnel and participants
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • At least 1 year of previous experience in choreography for musicals or dance education
    • B.A. or B.F.A. in Dance preferred
    • CPR certification is required, and CPR trainings will be provided.
    Salary: $14.50-$26/hour, based on experience
