(WASHINGTON)—The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere commissioned musical The Mortification of Fovea Munson. Mary Winn Heider brings her uproarious book to musical life with music and lyrics by Justin Huertas; music direction, arrangements, and orchestrations by Steven Tran; and direction by M. Graham Smith in this laugh out loud adventure.
The musical follows Fovea Munson, who is stuck working at her parents’ cadaver lab now that her summer camp plans have fallen through. But she is by no means Dr. Frankenstein’s snuffling assistant, Igor! That is, until three disembodied heads, left to thaw in the wet lab, start talking. To her. Out loud. What seems like a nightmare, or bizarre hallucination, is not. Fovea is somebody’s Igor, all right. Three somebodies, actually. And they need a favor.
Tickets for the production are currently on sale via the Kennedy Center website, at the box office, or by calling 202-467-4600.
