Cecily (Kelly A. Jennings) and Gwendolyn (Karen Getz) are two Victorian women who traveled through time and landed in 2011 – in D.C. To understand American/Washingtonian culture, they will ask the audience tons of questions and comment on their answers.
Jenning and Getz are improv professionals: their observations are insightful and funny and they are not afraid of making the audience slightly uncomfortable. One person in the room will be in charge of note-taking, and another of picture-drawing. As Cecily and Gwendolyn go through the notes and drawings at the end of the session, you’ll learn about yourself!
This is not a traditional four walls theatre play. The audience is definitively involved. The actresses do not appear to play characters. What makes Cecily and Gwendolyn Victorian is their accent, not their thoughts or their outfit. I recommend you to attend this experiment!
Running time: 75 minutes.
