Priscilla cries every night when she watches game shows because the contestants “break her heart.” In Priscilla Dreams the Answer, we’re introduced to the title character’s sock and tissue-laden couch, on which she searches for answers and dreams (about aliens), but doesn’t sleep. The minimal set is used well, with a rotating wall that showcases her home on one side and workplace on the other, as well as the couch that turns around into a desk. The sound effects and lighting are great, and the book is funny and makes the heavier stuff seem lighter. The actors are charming and honest, and Raven Bonniwell and Luke Cieslwicz who play Priscilla and Simon, respectively, bring a refreshing kindness and innocence to their characters. The audience is sure to enjoy the journey for Truth along with Priscilla in this delightful production.
