Kimleigh Smith is a force of nature. From the moment this mini-volcano erupts on the Apothecary stage – she is on fire! Her life story is a series of cheerleading successes, and health and psychological challenges that few people overcome, and this caring, giving, and life-affirming woman has reclaimed her life through courage and optimism and sheer will.
Let me tell you – this girl is one hell of a cheerleader and dancer and singer. I have now become a cheerleader for her and her blazingly funny and emotionally stunning performance. And there are tons of laughs in the show. Her seduction of her ‘lovah’ is one of the funniest 15 minutes I have seen at all The Fringe Festivals I have attended.
We have been blessed with numerous superb solo performances this year at The Capital Fringe, and Kimleigh’s powerful and funny and moving and heart-warming performance will rock you, encourage you and motivate you to move on and never give up, and maybe you’ll even want to swing those pom poms.
Running time: 60 minutes.
