Encompassing all of your senses in a delightful taste of comedy and art is this year’s Fringe hit Tactile Dinner Car performed by banished? productions. Not content with the usual quirks of performance art, the the banished? team created a futuristic, interactive food experience for the audience that is guaranteed to tickle your taste buds. Ticket holders are tempted by over a dozen rotating dishes that tempt the palate and encourage audience participation in 15 minute increments.
Centered around an actual food prep car, Chef (John Hibey) attacked the audience with his absurd facial quirks and laugh out loud enthusiasm through sticky stunts and chewy creature hunting. Servertron (Keira Hart) went above and beyond the usual robots call of duty to serve humor in a stunning jacket from the future (designed by Melanie Clark). Hosts Stephanie Davio and Otis Ramsey-Zoe circled the gathered crowd to creatively help with questions and facilitate good-natured audience embarrassment.
